Blue Ribbon Breakfast and Pinwheels for Prevention

March 4, 2006 was the third annual Blue Ribbon Breakfast hosted by Ross County Job and Family Services. The breakfast kicked off Child Abuse Prevention Month (April). In 2006, Ross and 40 other counties throughout Ohio participated in the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign. During Child Abuse Prevention Month (April), 707 pinwheels were placed at the entrance to the park. Each pinwheel represents a case of child abuse or neglect reported to Ross County Children's Services. Pinwheels for Prevention is designed to show the public in a very dramatic way that child abuse and neglect happens in every community and to encourage the community members to focus on prevention as part of an over plan to break the cycle of abuse.

Kid's Day 2006

Kid's Day is a fun day where children and their families can spend time at Ohio University-Chillicothe taking classes filled with fun and learning. Kid's Day was held on April 22, 2006. Look for more information about this great community event on this website.

Rock for Tots

The 21st Annual Rock For Tots show was a big success!

• Concert and Charity Auction to benefit needy children

• At least 12 bands performed and were auctioned off.
