Julie Oates

Julie has been with the Child Protection Center since 2002 as a child therapist and became the Executive Director in April, 2007. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Education in Community Counseling from Ohio University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor by the State of Ohio. Previously, she was employed at Adena Regional Medical Center’s psychiatric unit. Prior to joining the CPC, Julie has worked in the field of mental health for over ten years involving crisis intervention and various mental health treatments.

Dr. Naumovski is a member of Family Medicine of Chillicothe, Inc. He has been working at the Child Protection Center since 2002 doing child abuse exams. He has had training with Dr. Johnson at Columbus's Children's Hospital. 

Dr. Jetty is a member of the Smith & Fleischer Pediatric Group.  He has been working at the Child Protection Center since 1996 doing child abuse exams and is the Medical Director for the program.  Dr. Jetty received his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in India.  Following graduation in India, he spent over three years in England, receiving further training in surgery and orthopedics.  He then completed his internship and residency training in Pediatrics at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Jetty is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.  He has also attended a week long mini-residency in child abuse with Dr. Johnson at Columbus's Children's Hospital. 

Dr. Scott McCallum
Pediatrician
Dr. McCallum is a member of the Smith & Fleischer Pediatric Group.  He has been working at the Child Protection Center since 2004 doing child abuse exams.  Dr. McCallum received his medical degree from Loyola-Stritch University School of Medicine and residency at TOD Children's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.  He has been in Chillicothe for 6 years and has worked at Smith & Fleisher Pediatric Group for the last 4 1/2 years.  Prior to that, he worked for Family Healthcare, Inc. 

Marilyn came to Child Protection Center in 1996.  She assists the physician with child abuse exams and has been trained as a SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner).  She graduated from Grant Hospital School of Nursing.  She has worked at Adena Regional Medical Center in pediatrics, surgery and recovery.  She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  Marilyn also teaches health and safety to pre-school aged children for Chillicothe City Schools. 

Shelley Shoemaker

Shelley has been employed since July 2007. She is a graduate of Ohio University with a Degree in Elementary Education. Previously she was employed by the Southern Hills Academy as a Kindergarten Teacher.

Elizabeth Baer
Child Abuse Specialist

Elizabeth has been employed since August, 2007. She is a graduate of Wright State with a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Social Problems, a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor degree in Behavioral Sciences and Communications and an Associate degree in Science. In addition to her education and working with children and families over the past seven years for Ross County Job and Family Services, Children's Division as an Investigator, she has over 450 hours of specialized training in child welfare.  As the Child Abuse Specialist, Elizabeth performs forensic interviews for children who have allegedly been abused and is a parent educator.  . 

Rhonda Kinzer-Carver
Stewards of Children Coordinator

Rhonda has been with the Child Protection Center since 1999. She is a graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Human Services. She has extensive training in the area of child abuse and child development. She is the founder of the Supervised Visitation Program and currently coordinates the Stewards of Children Program.   

Lisa has been with the Child Protection Center since Oct. 2006.  She has worked in various administrative positions including Mead Paper, Southern Hills Academy and Huntington School.  She enjoys working with children and being involved in medical operations. 

 

Although Anita has been involved with the Child Protection Center since it's beginning, Anita joined the Child Protection Center in March, 2008.  She has worked in various therapeutic positions including Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center. Ohio University and Ross County School Districts. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and brings a wealth of knowledge to helping children and families heal.  

Kathy Wolfe
Active Parenting Now Instructor

Kathy Wolfe began working for CPC in February 2005 as a parenting instructor for the "Active Parenting Now" series.  She comes to the agency with 14 years experience working with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, the Adena Regional Medical Center and the Ross County Job and Family Services as the Cluster Coordinator.  Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is a Licensed Social Worker. 

Marsha Stewart
Active Parenting Now Instructor

Marsha Stewart began working for CPC in February 2005 as a parenting instructor for the "Active Parenting Now" series.  Marsha has worked for Ross County Job and Family Services for almost six years.  She has worked for JFS in the child care program and as the Healthcheck and Pregnancy Related Services Coordinator.  Marsha is currently working as the Foster Care Coordinator for the Children's Division and has been a parenting instructor for two years.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Sociology.
