Children of Ross and Surrounding Counties
The Child
Protection Center was designed by a group of local
agencies in Ross County, Ohio to assure that children who have been
physically or sexually abused receive appropriate
attention in a timely manner. The Center also provides
support to the children's families.
Pinwheels for Prevention: The pinwheels represent
the number of reports of child abuse or neglect in
2008 in Ross County. Ross County is pleased to be
one of 66 counties participating in the Pinwheels
for Prevention Campaign in Ohio.
The
mission of the Child Protection Center of Ross County, a
Children's Advocacy Center, is to reduce the incidence
and trauma of child abuse through a coordinated
multi-agency approach. To promote healthy children,
families, and communities through the professional
provision of education, prevention and protective
services.
"The Healing Begins Here"
Our 13th
annual Kid's Day was a success! Kid’s
Day is a fun day of classes for children in
the area to take. This year we were
grateful to have 128 students, 24
instructors, and 40 volunteers participate
in our event, held at Mt. Logan Elementary
School. Chillicothe Dance provided our
lunch time entertainment. Max and
Erma's donated fruit cups, and a sundae bar
for the kids. We were able to raise $7, 122
this year!! A big thanks to everyone
who helped out and donated their time and
goods!

Memorial Golf Classic
The Golf Classic will be held on August
21st, 2010
at the Jaycee Public Golf Course. The tournament is a benefit for the Child Protection Center of Ross County.
Last year the event raised
about $15,000! We would like to thank everyone
who supported this event!
